IM DOING GREAT!!

So today I had my 24 week doctors visit, and my cervix is measuring the longest it has ever measured with this pregnancy!! I was at 3.5 cm. I was stunned, my mom was stunned, we were all so so excited! My doctor said that with being flat on my back so much of the time, Ava can't put pressure on my cervix, so it has stretched back out. She also said that the progesterone shots are really helping. I am on cloud nine today, all day I have hardly been able to contain my excitement! I am going to have a healthy baby!

My doctor said that at 37 weeks we will remove the cerclage, and see what happens from there. She said some women they dialate to a 4 right away, and some stay pregnant for another week or so. So I have about 13 weeks left.

I also wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who has brought us meals, diapers, groceries and cleaned our home, I can't say how thankful I am to you. It's because of all of your help and prayers, that I can stay down and make sure this little miracle stays put. I especially want to say thank you to Cindi Meyer who has been coordinating all of our meals and cleaning help. She not only has helped me so much with this pregnancy but also when i had Noah she was there every step of the way. Cindi has been such a source of strength to me. So thank you all for all of you love and prayers!

On one bad note......lol there has to be something bad right?? Last week our basement flooded, at first I thought that It was just in the kitchen area and on the tile, but by that night, I realized that It had been an entire half of our basement. It was so drenched when you walked it squished under your feet, it did most of the damage in Noah's room and the living room. So at about midnight on Friday night Jeff went to check on Noah and came back to wake me up saying that it flooded the carpet. We got up and moved all the furniture, pulled back all the carpet, sucked out the window wells. We put up the porta crib in our room and of course got just about no sleep. Poor Noah, he has slept in his crib and his crib only since he was 5 months old, so he doesn't sleep well anywhere else. So finally yesterday, we got it all cleaned up and the carpet tacked back down, all the furniture put back, and Noah slept in his crib again, and we all got a full night for the first time in 5 days!! It felt so nice I barely could get up this morning.

Well that is our news, I will update for sure in who weeks on my next doctors apt.

Yay for you Crystal. That is so exciting. Sorry about your basement. I have connected with another mom who had a 23 week boy 2 years ago from IC and is also now 28 weeks pregnant on bedrest with the cerclage. Her little guy also has a shunt. I thought if you wanted you might like to connect with her for support. Here is her site if you want to at least check it out. http://www.travisthemiracle.com/3.html
She has gone through many of the same things as you have and are going through now. Anyway, take care and keep us posted. Also, that is too crazy about the other Noah Harper born two years ago in July. Small world eh!
