The trial went pretty good. Jeff and I both felt going into it like the pump probably wasn't something we were going to do. However with the results, we are leaning towards doing it now. When he had the
medicine in his body, at first he was floppy, which really scared me. But as it wore off, to a more normal level, he had his heels flat when he was walking in his walker. If we do get the pump, it will prevent Noah from getting more (disfigured) I hate using that word.
I'm sure that you have seen kids, that have their hands and arms pulled in. Well their
CP has gotten so bad they no longer can stretch their arms out, or they cant straighten out their necks.
We are thinking about having the pump placed after my sisters wedding in Aug. In the meantime we are going to be doing more therapy, and are going to start doing horse therapy. It is expensive, but I think it is worth it for Noah. For kids with Cerebral Palsy, It can really do wonders.
Here is little Noah right after the spinal injection. He threw up the entire day. He has become so scared of the hospital, that he makes himself sick. It kills me to see him so scared.
Noah finally getting some sleep.
Noah eating some oatmeal. He didn't keep it down though
Ava playing doctor. She behaved so good the whole day.
This is Noah after the injection. You can see he looks very "floppy"
He
wasn't quite sure why he couldn't sit up.
When we get the pump, we have to be in the hospital for probably 3- 5 days, and then we have to go up to the hospital every day for the next two weeks, then once a week for the next month, so we can get the dose right.
Thanks for your prayers!
