NOAH IS IN A BIG BOY BED

I decided that by Noah's 4th birthday I wanted to move him to a big boy bed. Honesty I have been dreading it, because my kids are such amazing sleepers and sleep like 11 hours every night, I knew this would mess up our routine, but I decided to just get it over with. I have looked EVERYWHERE for a bed that was really low to the ground so he could get in and out of it. I found one at IKEA and it is the same wood as his dressers. It has 3 different lengths From toddler bed to a twin. The really cool thing about it is that unlike most toddler beds that just fit a crib mattress this one is as wide as a twin bed so like a crib mattress and a half. It also has a growing mattress. It just had Noah's name written all over it. Well back to my story, When Jeff was setting it up we were telling him all about it, that this was his new bed, and because he is a big boy he isn't going to sleep in his baby crib anymore. He totally played along, and got all excited about it.
I put him in it that night, and explained again, and gave him his pooh bear and soft blankey, and he slept the entire night through. I went down a couple times before he fell asleep and he was up on his knees bouncing on it and licking the wood (another way he explores his surroundings) but within about 2 hours he fell asleep and slept like a log.My favorite thing about it, is that there have been so many times that I have just wanted to crawl in his crib and snuggle with him, but now I finally can!! Me and sissy went in this morning to get him up and we all laid in the bed together!
I know it's a long story, but this was a huge step for us and I had to let everyone know.
(by the way I got the adorable bedding in the classifieds it was only about 2 years old and in great shape for $25 bucks!)
